Description

Corn snakes are found in the southeast United States, and while they are unfortunately often mistaken for the venomous copperhead, they are actually nonvenomous and quite harmless unless provoked. In fact, they provide a benefit to humans by controlling rodent and pest populations.

History:

The corn snake is a nonvenomous snake that can reach up to 6 feet long, though most are quite a bit smaller. Its relatively docile nature has made it very popular in the reptile pet trade. They are easy to breed and can be selectively bred to represent a broad range of coloration and pattern morphs.
