Description
The Mothman was a mysterious winged creature seen by several people in the state of Virginia during the 1960s. Described as a “man-sized” flying creature with glowing red eyes, the Mothman is believed by some to arrive before tragic events take place.
- Characteristics: This Mothman figure features many of the characteristics described by witnesses, including large black wings and bulbous red eyes. Its furry body and feathery antennae were inspired by real life moths.
- Size and Color: The Mothman figure is 5 inches tall and 6 inches wide from wingtip to wingtip. It’s about the size of a DVD or Blu-Ray disc. Its coloration is mostly black with some gray highlights, silver claws and teeth, and metallic red eyes.

History:
In and around the town of Point Pleasant from 1966 to 1967, a number of people reported seeing a large winged creature, as big as a human with glowing red eyes. Some people believe the Mothman only appears before catastrophic events, such as a bridge collapse that occurred in 1967 after the Mothman was sighted.
Some people believe the Mothman to be alien or supernatural. Others believe the reported sightings were simply people mistaking a more common animal, such as an owl, a heron, or a sandhill crane, for the cryptid creature.
Either way, the legend of the Mothman has captivated people since it was first reported, and sightings continue to this day.
