Blue Crabs are common throughout much of the Western Atlantic Ocean, including in the Gulf of Mexico and the Chesapeake Bay. Despite their name, their shells are mostly a drab greenish in color. However, they do have blue accents on their body, particularly on their claws and sometimes legs.
Scientific Name: Callinectus sapidus
